Whilst the Lake District’s unique combination of lakes and mountains make it England’s most popular holiday destination, they also make it the wettest region in England, so it is always good to have a few wet weather plans in mind before you arrive.
As well as being equipped with a professional standard dog wash for when your dog just must go out on the muckiest of days, Fellside Lodge is well served by several top-quality attractions within easy reach, which are perfect for a rainy day.

Here is a selection please click on the links:

World of Beatrix Potter Bowness

Lakes Aquarium, Newby Bridge

Windermere Boat Museum and Jetty

Wray Castle

Hill Top (Beatrix Potter)

Dove Cottage (Wordsworth)

Rydal Hall and Gardens

Ambleside Climbing Wall

Not all indoor attractions are dog friendly so check ahead.

Many of the pubs and cafes around the Lakes district are however dog friendly and you will receive a warm welcome to take cover from the odd downpour.

Within easy reach of Fellside Lodge, on the Bowness Marina is the Bowness and Windermere Information Centre and Café.
